Overview
UPSCYatra is one of the AI side projects I started in 2026 and am still building on weekends. It is a UPSC preparation product for aspirants who are tired of jumping between PDFs, Telegram notes, random websites, and half-finished trackers.
The idea is simple: put the things people check every day for UPSC prep into one place, connect them to the exam, and use AI where it actually helps, not as decoration.
Who it is for
UPSC aspirants who want clarity instead of chaos. People revising Prelims and Mains, keeping up with current affairs, practising PYQs, reading NCERTs, and trying to see how all of that fits together for the exam.
What UPSCYatra includes
- Daily current affairs: Fresh briefings mapped to the UPSC syllabus and exam-relevant topics.
- Interactive book reader: Read with AI-powered explanations, chapter-wise PYQs, and learning support while you study.
- Prelims PYQs: GS and CSAT practice organised by year, subject, and topic.
- Mains PYQs: Previous year Mains questions with answer-writing guidance.
- News behind Prelims PYQs: The news stories and headlines that later showed up in Prelims questions.
- Prelims analysis: Recurring themes, examiner trends, and question patterns.
- Maps and data visuals: Interactive maps, charts, and visual explainers for faster revision.
- Topper answer copies: Mains copies from rank holders across GS papers and Essay.
- Government reports breakdown: Important reports and committee material for Prelims and Mains.
- Places in News and related prep tools: Geography and current affairs that keep coming back in the exam.
How I am building it
This is a product I am designing and developing myself as an AI side project, alongside BuildinFramer. I care about the full loop: what aspirants need day to day, how the product is structured, how AI shows up in the study flow, and shipping a site people can actually use.
Outcomes
- A live AI-based UPSC prep product at upscyatra.in.
- One place for daily prep work instead of scattered tabs, PDFs, and notes.
- An ongoing side project I am still shipping and improving.
